Meeting with Prime Minister
A week before the start of the IAAPI trade fair (27.02-01.03.2018) in the Indian city of Mumbai with 20 million inhabitants, met in preparation for the fair the Indian Skitrax importer, Meer Waquiruddin Khaleeq, Managing Director of "Sportssolution", with Wolfgang Schmidt (Managing Director Skitrax World) in Bangalore. With 8.4 million inhabitants, Bangalore is the third largest city in India after New Delhi and Mumbai and a bubbling source of innovative companies and creative minds. Besides the intensive planning for the first Indian mat ski area near the city of Coorg (state of Karnataka), we received a high award in another Indian state.
Two days before the fair the 2 hour flight went to the 4 million inhabitants big city Vishakhapatnam, one of the economic centers of the Indian state Andhra Pradesh (approx. 49 million inhabitants). There an India-wide investor congress took place. Important investors from all over India came to find out about the new opportunities for investing in innovations. In this context, companies were also honored to be chosen by the state of Andhra Pradesh to select a plot of land over 7 hectares from the surrounding area to invest in new, interesting projects. An essential part of the commitments is the creation of at least about 80 new jobs.
Among the 30 applicants for this state support, "Sports Infra Solutions" emerged as the winner with the complex construction of a Skitrax mat ski resort. In the course of a ceremony, the two managing directors Meer Waquiruddin Khaleeq and Wolfgang Schmidt were presented with the certificate by the Chief Minister of the State of Andhra Pradesh, Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu and its Tourism Minister, Mrs. Bhuma Akhila Priya. Dozens of photographers and press representatives made sure that this announcement was immediately published in all daily newspapers in India. Plans for the realization of the mat ski area with tubing tracks and other recreational activities are now in full swing.
