Freestylers get 4 kickers.
After the freestylers / slopestylers from the Vorarlberg Ski Association always had to travel to Area 47 (Ötztal) or WSV Oberaudorf (Luegsteinsee) to the respective freestyle water jumps in recent years, a new jump center has now been created in the Rheinauen in Hohenems (Vorarlberg). Now the athletes can perfectly train their jumps for Slopestyle, Big Air or Half Pipe on snow-like mats just like in winter.
With the help of sponsors and associations, the responsible project manager Hans Krojer was able to realize this ski jumping facility. He himself has already put about 1,200 working hours into the project. About 50 volunteers have helped with the construction in several thousand working hours. Two tracks were laid out with WaterTrax mats, thus guaranteeing many years of use and perfect gliding into the water as if on snow.
The first competitions are planned for September. The complete completion is planned for August 2020. In addition, another 70 m2 were purchased in the spring of 2020. That should be enough for 4 great kickers.
