Yes. The mats can be left in the areas of lift entrances, lift exits, transfer zones, bridges or tunnels all year round. The mats do not rot and due to the high UV pigmentation, the mats only become slightly pale after many years.
Yes. The mountain railways can choose between two types: The LiftTrax FA are preferably used by mountain railways to let skiers move slowly from the start gate to the lift entrance. The LiftTrax SP are hardened and have the advantage that skiers can glide quickly to the lift entrance. Even when exiting the lift, it is therefore possible to slide down the slope quickly.
Many chairlifts have the mountain station at summit stations, where strong winds also blow in bad weather. These winds sweep the exit area clear of snow. This creates an area without snow from the lift exit area (usually made of smooth wood) to the beginning of the slope, which has to be prepared with snow by service staff every time with a shovel. If the LiftTrax mats are laid out, the snow stays between the rhombuses and the skier can easily slide onto the piste area.
After the end of the winter season with a vacuum over the mats. Then all dirt residues and stone are vacuumed up. To remove more dirt, hose the mats clean with a high-pressure cleaner.
Yes. Either during installation or later. The mats can be quickly replaced because of the simple plug-in system (Plug IN/OUT).
Yes. The mats are laid out in the desired width (approx. 1.50m) and the length of the lift. The mats can be laid out temporarily for the winter time. The mats are overlaid over the summer and reinstalled onto the lift track in the fall.
