Questions about NordicTrax: cross-country skiing, skating
  • How wide should the mats be laid out:

Most trails are installed for a long distance to run back and forth. Thus, a width of approx. 4m is sufficient for two outward and return lanes.

  • Where can the mats be used:

Since the NordicTrax mats can be laid out flexibly, the cross-country track can be installed at any location for running. They can be fixed to the ground in several places with ground screws, so that a secure hold and non-slip impression can take place with the cross-country skis.

Questions about NordicTrax: ski jump ramps outrun
  • Where are the mats laid out:

From the end of the landing area. This creates a transition to the flat run-out area, which can be used while standing upright or even telemark.

  • How are the mats attached to the floor:

The mats are either attached directly to the ground with pegs or a fleece is placed in between to protect the mats from stones and dirt.

  • Is there a limitation in expansion:

no Depending on requirements, the mats can be laid out in the width and length of the ski jumping facility.

  • Does the FIS support the installation:

Yes. The mats are "FIS approved". The FIS is also of the opinion that these mats should be laid out on the summer ski jumps, so that training can take place under the same technical conditions as in winter.
