Erstmals in seiner Geschichte öffnet das Santiago-Bernabéu-Stadion unter dem Namen „MAVIDAD“ seine Tore für eine Winterwelt der Superlative. Wo sonst Kylian Mbappé und Jude Bellingham auf Torejagd gehen, gleiten nun Familien auf High-Tech-Reifen durch eine frostige Wunderwelt.
Technik macht das Wunder möglich
Dass Madrid im Dezember zum Wintersportort wird, ist kein Zufall, sondern ein technisches Meisterwerk. Erst die umfassende Modernisierung des Stadions mit seinem einziehbaren Dach und dem spektakulären, hydraulisch versenkbaren Rasen ermöglicht dieses Spektakel. Während das kostbare Grün sicher in einem unterirdischen Lagerraum ruht, wird der Innenraum des Stadions zur Bühne für das Event des Jahres.
Nervenkitzel auf der Tubing-Bahn
Das Herzstück der „MAVIDAD“ ist zweifellos die riesige Tubtrax Tubing-Bahn. Für deren Umsetzung hat sich Real Madrid echte Expertise ins Haus geholt: Die portugiesische Firma PIPOCA D'IDEIAS UNIPESSOAL LDA zeichnet für den Aufbau verantwortlich. Das Unternehmen gilt als wahrer Event-Spezialist und hat bereits zahlreiche Bahnen in ganz Spanien und Portugal realisiert.
In Zusammenarbeit mit Skitrax World wurde eine Anlage installiert, die ohne künstliche Kühlung auskommt. Auf speziellen Tubtrax Gleitmatten sausen die Besucher in „Epic Tubing“-Reifen auf mehreren Bahnen nebeneinander in die Tiefe – ein Erlebnis, das eigentlich den Bergen vorbehalten ist, nun aber mitten im Herzen der spanischen Hauptstadt stattfindet.
Ein Treffpunkt für die Stars
Die „MAVIDAD“ ist nicht nur für die Fans ein Magnet. Da die La Liga während der Feiertage vom 24. bis 31. Dezember pausiert, haben sich bereits prominente Gäste angekündigt. Es wird erwartet, dass einige der Lizenzspieler von Real Madrid die Winterwelt privat mit ihren Kindern besuchen werden. Wer Glück hat, trifft seinen Helden also nicht auf dem Rasen, sondern vielleicht in der Warteschlange vor den Eislauf-Bumper-Cars oder am „Río de la Magia“, der Eislaufbahn, die sich um einen gigantischen Weihnachtsbaum schlängelt.
Ein begehrtes Vergnügen
Der Andrang ist gewaltig. Das Event wird in drei täglichen Sessions (Vormittag, Nachmittag und Abend a 4 Std.) durchgeführt, um den Besucherstrom zu steuern. Dennoch vermelden die offiziellen Kanäle: „Sold Out“. Wer jetzt noch dabei sein möchte, muss auf exklusive VIP- und Hospitality-Pakete hoffen.
Für Touristen gibt es einen wichtigen Hinweis: Die klassische Stadion-Tour findet weiterhin statt (Eingang Tor 84, Avenida de Concha Espina), ist jedoch an die Event-Kulisse angepasst. Ein direkter Zugang zum Spielfeldrand ist derzeit nicht möglich – dafür bietet die Tour einen einmaligen Blick auf die glitzernde Schneewelt von den Rängen aus.

For the first time in its history, the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium is opening its doors to a winter wonderland of superlatives under the name “MAVIDAD.” Where Kylian Mbappé and Jude Bellingham usually chase goals, families now glide through a frosty wonderland on high-tech tires.
Technology makes the wonder possible
The fact that Madrid is becoming a winter sports resort in December is no coincidence, but rather a technical masterpiece. Only the comprehensive modernization of the stadium with its retractable roof and spectacular hydraulically retractable turf makes this spectacle possible. While the precious green grass rests safely in an underground storage room, the interior of the stadium becomes the stage for the event of the year.
Thrills on the tubing track
The centerpiece of “MAVIDAD” is undoubtedly the huge Tubtrax tubing track. Real Madrid brought in real expertise to make it happen: the Portuguese company PIPOCA D'IDEIAS UNIPESSOAL LDA is responsible for the construction. The company is considered a true event specialist and has already built numerous tracks throughout Spain and Portugal.
In collaboration with Skitrax World, a facility has been installed that does not require artificial cooling. On special Tubtrax sliding mats, visitors whizz down several parallel tracks in “Epic Tubing” tires – an experience that is usually reserved for the mountains, but now takes place in the heart of the Spanish capital.
A meeting place for the stars
MAVIDAD is not only a magnet for fans. As La Liga is on break during the holidays from December 24 to 31, some prominent guests have already announced their plans to visit. Some of Real Madrid's licensed players are expected to visit the winter wonderland privately with their children. So if you're lucky, you might meet your hero not on the pitch, but perhaps in the queue for the ice skating bumper cars or at the “Río de la Magia,” the ice rink that winds its way around a giant Christmas tree.
A coveted pleasure
The rush is enormous. The event is held in three daily sessions (morning, afternoon, and evening for 4 hours each) to control the flow of visitors. Nevertheless, the official channels report: “Sold Out.” Anyone who still wants to attend must hope for exclusive VIP and hospitality packages.
There is an important note for tourists: the classic stadium tour will continue to take place (entrance Gate 84, Avenida de Concha Espina), but has been adapted to the event setting. Direct access to the edge of the pitch is currently not possible – instead, the tour offers a unique view of the glittering snow world from the stands.
With “MAVIDAD Bernabéu,” Madrid has proven that the new stadium is much more than just a sports venue—it is the new, vibrant heart of Christmas magic in Europe.
