Tubing at the Atlantic coast
The Vimeiro Club Adventure Sport with 50m tubing track.
For several years now, the Portuguese amusement park Vimeiro on the Atlantic coast near Porto Novo has been using a tubing track with Skitrax Tubtrax mats. Thousands of young guests have ridden the tubing track during this period.
A special towing track for the approximately 10 tubing tyres was unusually created. Two tracks were laid out with the mats up to the start. In the middle, the children go up to the start and pull the approx. 6 kg tubing tyre loosely gliding upwards. This method is very original and saves energy. In addition to the tubing track, there are other inflatable slides and jumping areas. The very professional climbing garden provides the necessary thrills on 2 floors. The amusement park is open from April to October.
An extension of the tubing track is planned for next year.

The Christmas market in Olten gets longest tubing in Switzerland. At the traditional Christmas market in the Swiss town of Olten (canton of Solothurn), a 30m-long tubing track was installed on a 4m-high staffage for the first time last winter. Skitrax World supplied the necessary number of Tubtrax-M1 modules, Tubtrax gliding mats and Epic tubing tyres. Now this "all-weather tubing track" is being extended to 100m in length. 54 Tubtrax-M1 side modules ensure a stable ride with the tubing tyres on the Tubtrax glide mats. No matter what the weather conditions are during the Christmas season, sliding fun is always guaranteed.
Winter sports as an attractive year-round offer. Will there soon be alpine theme parks near major cities? It would be feasible in Zuerich, Hamburg, Vienna, Paris or Milan, but also in Singapore, Djakarta, Beijing, Los Angeles, Nairobi, Saigon and Santiago de Chile. When the snow is replaced by Skitrax sliding mats, nothing stands in the way of sliding, carving, gliding, lifting, drifting.

Tubing track with 7 lanes side by side. Already the first impression makes fun to ride there. On 250 m length 7 tubing lanes are built side by side. The biggest tubing track in Europe could use the last weeks without rain to do the essential works. Two conveyor belts with a total length of 250m are also installed. The works are in progress and in parallel the works on the biggest dry slope run with two lines in Europe are also starting. The Doppelmayr 4-seater chairlift is already installed, floodlights and lances for snow making are being placed. Things are moving forward.
The Lacey family opens its own tubing track. The Lacey family did not miss the official opening ride and slid down the track like a circus. It is quite practical when the world's largest circus also has its own large workshop with many employees. So the tubing track could be optimally installed for year-round use. An almost 50m long tubing track was installed so quickly with our Tubtrax-2 modules. From a TÜV approved start gate, the Tubtrax sliding mats now race down the mountain every weekend in the Bavarian town of Wessling (winter quarters).
Largest circus in the world builds a year-round tubing track. Actually, the tubing track should be ready in December 2020. In addition, a large natural ice skating rink and some sales booths for drinks and food. "Magic Winter at the Circus Krone" winter camp in Wessling was the concept. Many families were supposed to get to the large grounds for the pre-Christmas season to directly experience dozens of lions, tigers and other animals in their winter quarters. Unfortunately, because of the lockdown, it wasn't allowed to open and so construction and opening is delayed until spring 2021 - or when theme parks can open again. But as it looks according to the incidence figures, the Circus Krone will be allowed to open again in the course of June 2021.
