Summer and winter operation.
The tubing track in Jean de Sixt (near La Clusaz) goes into summer use at the end of June. After the first rides on the approx. 40m long track with Tubtrax mats and wooden curves were completed in autumn 2014, snow covered the track from November to March this year.
Right next to the tubing track, a conveyor belt about 30m long was installed. In winter, the right side of the conveyor was used for children's skiing and on the left side the tubers rushed down the track. Bieder target groups then rode the conveyor belt back up to the start or to the respective ski instructor.
The tubing track, which is about 40 meters long, has a straight line and moves the tuber with a long curve to the conveyor belt. The environmentally friendly tubing track is completely made of robust and intensively impregnated wood. This equipment is fixed and used in the same place in summer and winter. For the first time, the new bio-sliding agent "Slide Liquid" is used for summer use. The silicone-free lubricant is biodegradable, water-repellent and thus particularly environmentally friendly for use in the great outdoors.
For next year, it is planned to build a mat ski slope next to the conveyor belt in summer as well as in winter, where ski courses can also be offered in summer.
