Stone-free gliding to the lift entrance.
As a manufacturer of plastic mats for many years, we have listened to the loud cries of chairlift operators: "We need durable plastic mats, especially in the area of lift exits, on which the arriving winter sports enthusiast can quickly and safely glide a few meters on the level to the slope, regardless of the existing snow cover. This applies esp. to the start of the season Nov./Dec. and again from the end of February until the end of the season."
A development team from Skitrax has been working on this issue all winter 2009/10. In different snow conditions at various ski resorts in Europe (including Laax-Flims, Davos, St. Moritz) and the USA (including Beaver Creek), new materials were tested. The hot temperatures in April in the Alps were ideal for testing on alpine meadows and parks. Since spring 2010 the new Skitrax are on the market. Gliding on the flat with skis and snowboard has got a new standard. Ideal also for areas in the lift entrance and low-snow, level transfer paths on ski slopes. The many connecting tunnels can also become independent of piste preparation by laying out Skitrax LiftTrax.
The possibilities for cross-country skiers are also new. A straight track or a circuit is quickly laid out and skaters can do their laps without any problems - with the same material that is also used in winter.
So also highly interesting for the winter sports industry. In this industry, snowboarders are creatively far ahead and quickly recognized the "high gliding and usage value" of the LiftTrax. Together with a leading snowboard manufacturer "K2 Snowboard" promotion in over 200 European cities with a "POP THIS" presentation of the new snowboards with Skitrax SP were carried out in recent years.
