Straight from the cable car to the piste on Lifttrax sliding mats.

The new cable car on the Ochsenkopf in the Fichtelgebirge (GER) will go into operation on 22.12.2023. The installation on the north side of the Ochsenkopf near the municipality of Bischofsgrün comprises 40 ten-passenger gondolas, which are also suitable for families with baby carriages, wheelchair users and monoskiers. The new cable car allows visitors to reach the 1024-metre-high mountain more comfortably, quickly and barrier-free. The gondolas have a transport capacity of around 2000 people per hour. Construction work on the cable car began in March 2023 to replace the old 32-year-old cable car.

A particularly helpful attraction will be installed at the cable car exit. A wide track with the fast Lifttrax SP glide mats will be installed to enable monoskiers to glide quickly onto the piste with the skibob immediately after exiting. This allows monoskiers to glide optimally from the cable car exit to the piste. Successful installations in the Tyrolean ski resorts of Kaunertal Glacier and Axamer Lizum have shown how convenient such gliding tracks are for monoskiers.
